Charlie Sheen Calls off Engagement to Brett Rossi
Charlie Sheen has called off his engagement to former adult film star, Brett "Scotty" Rossi, just a few weeks prior to their already scheduled wedding in November, People reports.
In a statement released to People, Sheen explains that he and Rossi's split was a mutual decision. Despite their split, Sheen praised Rossi for being a "terrific gal" and recalled their "great year together as we travelled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list."
As for the reason why he and Rossi amicably split-well, Sheen claims he'd rather focus on his children than focus on his relationship with Rossi.
"I still have a tremendous fondness for Scotty and I wish her all the best," Sheen added.
People reports that the two first met last November and Sheen later proposed to Rossi on Valentine's Day while the two vacationed in Hawaii.
At the time of Sheen's proposal, Rossi gushed to E! News about her engagement and her ring that she described as "classic and beautiful."
"Yes! We are engaged! He even was a gentleman and got down on one knee," Rossi told E! News at the time."I was not expecting it at all. We had a beautiful Valentine's day and he proposed to me early this morning after we watched the sun rise."
If Sheen and Rossi had gone through with the marriage, it would have marked Sheen's fourth marriage to date.
Sheen has previously been linked to model Donna Peele, whom he married in 1995 and divorced a year later, TMZ reports.
In 2002, Sheen went on to marry Denise Richards. However, Richards filed for divorce from Sheen two years later while she was pregnant with their second child.
A few years later, Sheen married Brooke Mueller in 2008 and they eventually divorced after three years of marriage, says TMZ.
Brett Rossi has yet to speak out on her breakup with Charlie Sheen.
