Actress Lindsay Lohan shared her two cents on the upcoming runoff presidential election in Brazil before retracting her statements.

According to BuzzFeed, the "Mean Girls" actress showed her taste for Brazil politics via Twitter.

"I support @AecioNeves, for presidential candidature. His platform brings positive changes in Brasil #Aecio45 #HTVBR," she tweeted on Tuesday with a picture of candidate Aecio Neves, whose platform focuses on economic growth according to Fox News Latino.

The tweet has since been deleted.

Lohan also took to Facebook to show her support for Neves, who is facing a runoff election against President Dilma Rousseff.

"Brasil needs change and I support Aecio Neves! He deserves to win the presidency to push forward positive changes and policies for ALL people of Brasil, a country that I adore! #mudabrasil #Aecio45 ..." she wrote, attaching a link to an article by The Economist titled "Why Brazil needs change."

The Facebook post has also been deleted.

Social media had a good laugh following Lohan's political posts.

"Errrrrrr, Brazilians: to have Lindsay Lohan supporting your candidate is not that great of a marketing move," a Twitter user named Alice Salles said.

"Definitely you don't know him, lady @lindsaylohan," a user named Joab Gomes Fernandes said via Twitter.

One of Lohan's former flings, "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" actor Wilmer Valderrama, has also been sharing his political thoughts lately, albeit on the more relevant midterm elections happening in the United States this November. He is currently working with Voto Latino, a nonpartisan group "that empowers Latino Millennials to claim a better future for themselves and their community" according to its official website, to encourage Latinos to register to vote.

"My work as an activist has been the most rewarding job I've ever had," he told Fox News Latino this month. "... I have a great deal of passion for what I do."
