'Assassin's Creed Unity' Release Date PS4/Xbox One/PC: System Requirements for Windows Rumored to Be Huge
If you don't have a PS4 or Xbox One for the upcoming release of "Assassin's Creed Unity," your PC had better have great specs. Or you'll need to update it. Newly rumored system requirements for AC Unity on PC look pretty heavy.
If what has been posted on a NeoGAF forum (via PC Gamer) is correct, Ubisoft is asking a lot of your PC in order to run the upcoming fifth installment of Assassin's Creed: Unity, which has a release date slated for Nov. 11.
That gives PC users little time to upgrade their computers' graphics cards, which is the steepest rumored spec requirement for "Assassin's Creed 5." According to the rumored specs, the minimum GPU you'll need in order to run around as Arno during the French Revolution is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680.
The system reqs for the game were supposedly leaked from the South Korean publisher of Ubisoft games, IntraGames, which is releasing AC Unity in that country. IntraGames has since deleted the page, hinting that the specs could be accurate.
Here are the full rumored system requirements for Assassin's Creed: Unity posted on NeoGAF:
- Operating System: Windows ® 7 SP1, Windows 8 / 8.1 ® (64 -bit version only supported)
- CPU: Intel Core® i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or higher (Intel Core® i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or more recommended)
- RAM: 6 GB or more (8 GB or more recommended)
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970, graphics memory 2GB or more (NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X, graphics memory 3 GB or more recommended)
- Sound Card: Direct X 9.0c compatible sound card and the latest drivers
- HDD: 50 GB or more
You might want to get a new hard drive, too. As for the pretty high CPU requirement -- well, the holidays are just around the corner.
