With the "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer having been revealed, buzz and anticipation is building for the film.

The latest trailer definitely offered a number of spoilers and lots of action sequences. It also offered glimpses of Ultron, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

One of the interesting parts of the trailer is that it showed both the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as villains and later in the trailer helping the Avengers. It will definitely be interesting to see how the narrative of these characters changes throughout the film.

The teaser also showed the Avengers once again fighting against each other. Thor attacks Iron Man in one scene, which may suggest the heroes have not resolved their differences from the first film.

Another notable thing in the trailer is that there is a darker tone and that there is a lot of destruction. At the end, for example, Captain America's nigh-indestructible shield is broken, which may suggest that this film could go like in "Empire Strikes Back," where everything goes wrong for The Avengers. Anything is possible given the tone of this trailer.

With the early debut of the teaser, there is no doubt that Marvel will give this film a huge marketing campaign. The film comes out in the summer and there has been a lot of buzz for a while. Throughout the past years, Marvel has obtained a huge fan base and the studio's movies have increasingly done well at the box office. For example, "Guardians of the Galaxy" surprised at the box office as it made $327 million and became the highest grossing film of the year amid a disappointing summer.

As a matter of fact, Marvel currently has two of the year's highest grossing films. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" also performed to great results over the spring season. That comic book picture made over $259 million domestically, which was about $80 million more than the original.

With Marvel having already started promoting "Age of Ultron," it is easy to predict that this film could potentially break even more records. In 2012, "The Avengers" generated a lot of anticipation, but did not have the same fan base that Marvel has established since then. However, that film ended up opening to $207 million in its first weekend and broke the box office opening weekend record. By the end of its run, it made $623 million and over $1 billion worldwide.

Based on how well the Marvel films performed this year, it wouldn't be surprising if "Age of Ultron" made $220 million on its opening weekend. Each time a new Marvel film opens, it seems the numbers continue to rise and that could be the same trend with the new Avengers movie.

The new installment, directed by Joss Whedon, tells the story of Iron Man, a.k.a. Tony Stark, who tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, only to have things go awry. As a result, it is up to The Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen, Andy Serkis, James Spader and Jeremy Renner.
