Chris Brown & Rihanna Relationship News Update 2014: RiRi Wears Breezy's Underwear - Is Couple Getting Back Together?
Rihanna sparks rumors that she has rekindled romance with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after recently wearing his underwear or at least the one that looks very similar to his.
MediaTakeOut first pointed out that RiRi was wearing a black and white undergarment -- the same one that Breezy wore while the couple was dating -- at Da Silvano restaurant in New York City on Oct. 17.
This is not the first time the pair was seen wearing the same thing. While making a guest appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" last month, Brown was spotted wearing a gold chain with an angel hanging off it while performing his summer hit "Loyal." Rihanna has the same necklace and was previously photographed wearing it in a black-and-white snapshot.
At the time, a source revealed to MediaTakeOut that the two have been in contact all along: "Rihanna and Chris never stopped talking. They were supposedly 'just friends' but they would always flirt. There is a real 'soul mate' connection between them."
Despite their highly publicized breakup and drama, the "Drunk Texting" crooner and the "Stay" singer apparently have a complicated yet strong bond. "They have a bond and connection that's so deep that no one can fully understand except them," another source claimed to HollywoodLife.com. "That's just a fact. He knows it. She knows it. Everybody knows it and that's that."
"When it comes to Rihanna, you know, her name and his name will forever be intertwined, no matter who she's talking to at any given moment," the source added.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown previously spoke about his current relationship status with Rihanna. "We're friends. Nothing too serious... We're not trying to start a life together right now, we're just having fun," he told ET.
Amid speculations that his track "Drunk Texting" is about Rihanna, Brown denied it by saying, "Oh no, not at all. I think that's just the fans' perception or the media's perception at all times because of our history," he said. "As far as me writing and going into that, I don't really try to put my focus on Rihanna every song. At the end of the day it's almost six, seven years later. It's like, how many more times am I going to talk about the same situation?"
