Serena Williams Talks Seeing a Lighthearted Broadway Musical About Herself Following Victory Over Caroline Wozniacki [Pics]
After beating Caroline Wozniacki in the semi-finals on Friday, Serena Williams talked to reporters in Singapore about her wish to see a Broadway musical about her life story, Yahoo! Sports reports via AFP.
"It should just be on Broadway. I think that's a better idea. Not take it too serious," she told reporters.
Williams explained her desire to keep her Broadway musical lighthearted and fun rather than create a dramatic movie about her life like retired Chinese star Li Na, "whose story reportedly has film-makers interested," says AFP.
Despite Wozniacki's loss in the semi-finals on Friday, AFP reports that Williams and Wozniacki attended a Mariah Carey concert together which took place at a venue next door to the tennis tournament.
Williams gave Carey's show a stellar review of "11" out of 10 and later posted an Instagram photo of herself and Wozniacki at Carey's show.

On Sunday, Williams went on to win her third successive WTA Finals title, ESPN reports.
The win comes on the heels of her recent feud with Russian tennis boss Shamil Tarpischev, who called the Williams sisters "brothers" and said that the athletes were "scary" to look at during an interview on Russian TV, the New York Daily News reports.
Tarpischev also added, "I have tremendous respect for them, but once one of the sisters passed next to me and I found myself in her shadow for about 40 seconds."
Naturally, the Williams sisters did not take kindly to Tarpischev's comments.
Serena Williams spoke out against the tennis boss and told Singapore reporters that his comments were "insensitive and extremely sexist as well as racist" at the same time.
"I thought they were in a way bullying," she said according to the Detroit News.
The WTA has since forced Tarpischev to issue an apology to the sisters and was fined $25,000, says HollywoodLife.com.
