Lil Wayne has pushed back the release date for his highly anticipated 11th and last solo studio album "Tha Carter V," which was originally slated to drop on Oct. 28.

In the beginning of July, Weezy first hinted the album release date.

"I'm so not good with that," he told MTV. "I think it drops either in September and then we have ... ah I can't tell you the sneak thing. Anyway, yeah, I think it drops in September or August. It might drop before then, in July, [or] August 25, or something like that?"

During his guest appearance on ESPN's "SportsCenter" in August, Tunechi announced the official release date for "Tha Carter V" as Oct. 28. He also unveiled the artwork, which features a childhood photo of him standing in front of his mother Jacida "Cita" Carter.

"It's perfect," he said. "I always go with a baby picture. I wanted to go with one with my mama this time ... To have my mom on there is more than an accomplishment. It's an achievement."

However, Young Money president Mack Maine recently confirmed with KarenCivil.com that Lil Wayne's new album release date has been pushed back.

In addition, Mr. Carter previously told MTV back in March that his forthcoming album, which is set to feature his already released Drake-assisted singles "Believe Me" and "Grindin'," would be his last solo release.

"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes, and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's stopping at five," he said. "Twenty-five to 35 million [dollars] would get me to do another solo album after this."
