Nicki Minaj Net Worth 2013 Forbes: Singer is Lone Woman On 'Cash Kings List'
Watch out guys, she's still on top of the hip-hop pyramid. Nicki Minaj lands No. 4 on this year's Forbes' annual "Hip-Hop Cash Kings List", with an estimated $29 million, and she's the only woman on the list. She definitely has earned more than Snoop Lion, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar all combined. Minaj even made more than her fellow Y.M.C.M.B rappers, Drake, Lil Wayne and Birdman.
The "Moment 4 Life" rapper made her debut on the list in 2011 with earnings of $6.5 million, and she was the first female to break the Top 20. She also doubled last year's $15.5 million profit this year. Minaj is the only female to ever appear on the list since its inception in 2007.
"Pull up in that You Can't Afford This / Only rap b---h on the Forbes List," Nicki raps on her verse on Rich Gang's "Tapout."
How did Nicki Minaj make it to the list? The female rapper's mainstream recognition and music revenue, along with her numerous tours and endorsement deals are what made her so successful.
In addition to her judging role on American Idol, Nicki Minaj has her own perfume and clothing lines, not to forget to mention her endorsement with Mac, O.P.I., Pepsi and Myx Fusions Moscato, which she often brings up in her music video and rap verses.
Lori Landew, a music attorney, also elaborates on her uniqueness that made her successful, "Part of the reason she's so authentic is because she's so chameleon-like, which could come across as cartoon-ish and not attractive to a brand, but it works for her."
Most importantly, Nicki Minaj's fearless and daring personality is what made her a "Cash Queen", "I've never been afraid to walk into the boy's club. Ever. Ever, ever, ever, ever." She believes that "it's time for a female Jay, a female Puffy."
You got that right, Nicki.
It's Nicki's world. On her throne of female Hip-Hop supremacy, Nicki Minaj will continue to reign as the "Hip-Hop Queen."
