Recently, Kendrick Lamar stirred up the internet spitting fire at Drake during his verse in Big Sean's "Control," and many of his fans speculate that Drake's song "The Language" from his latest release "Nothing was the Same" is a response aimed at K.Dot.

On the selection "The Language," the Toronto native rapper asserts his position as rap's elite, fends off newcomers, and solidifies that he will and can stunt, he boastfully rhymes, "I don't know why they been lying but your s--- is not that inspiring / Bank account statement just look like I'm ready for early retirement / F--- any n---- that's talkin' that s--- just to get a reaction / F--- going platinum, I looked at my wrist and it's already platinum / I am the kid with the motor mouth / I am the one you should worry about / I don't know who you're referring to, who is this n---- you heard about? / Someone just talking that b---s---, man someone just gave you the run-around / N----s downplaying the money but that's what you do when the money down."

Drake's CEO Birdman, who also appears on the song, straightens out the whole speculation, and says that Drake was not dissing Kendrick Lamar on the track, "Drake do what he do. He really slick with whatever he do. He makes you think. But I didn't think he put no energy into that."

In addition, Birdman talks about his connection to Kendrick Lamar and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, "Kendrick the homey - I ain't got nothin' but love and respect for Kendrick. Top Dawg is one of my best friends, so I would never want to see us condone that... That ain't what this about... I don't think he went to that route, to me."

Birdman continues, "That's Hip Hop too, but I don't think we need to do that, because then you have to focus on that individual..."
