The President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has dished some details and addressed some roster rumors about "Avengers: Age of Ultron" that may intrigue you, or deflate you, depending on your love and loyalty for the current cast.

Feige, who spoke with BuzzFeed about the wildly popular film which is written and directed by Joss Whedon, said "that the 'Avengers' movies 'ideally, in the grand plan, are always big, giant linchpins' similar to the comic book event storylines," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's like as it was in publishing, when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, 12-issue mega-event," he added. "Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was. I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the ('Avengers') roster is altered by the finale of this film."

While some "Avengers" fans might find the idea that the culmination of "Age of Ultron" will be different than the beginning of the movie a little unnerving, THR pointed out, it's also important to note that change can be good.

The rumor mill has been spinning for quite some time about a change in the "Avengers'" roster, inferring that at the pinnacle of 'Age of Ultron,' the movie-going audience would see "an almost an entirely new team of Avengers, led by either Captain America or Iron Man, and introducing new characters that could then be spun out into solo projects."

Is this truly the end of an era? Or is it possible that Feige's comment was meant to stir the pot -- more specifically add some "speculation" and generate "buzz" for the movie over the next few months? Hopefully not, and THR doesn't think so either.

"An altered roster, after all, is an impressively open concept. If, as expected, the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and/or the Vision join the team, then that's an altered roster," THR adds. "Similarly, should someone -- Iron Man, for example -- leave the team, then that's similarly altered. Are Feige's comments a hint at an all-new team in time for Avengers 3? It depends on how much you want to believe they are."
