A week after the Indianapolis Colts got smacked around by the Pittsburgh Steelers 51-34, including Ben Roethlisberger victimizing Indy's secondary for six touchdowns, the Colts bounced back, taking out their anger on the New York Giants in a lopsided 40-24 win Monday night.

"We got that bad taste out of our mouths, the way we lost that last game," said coach Colts Chuck Pagano after his team beat the Giants. "It's awesome."

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who leads the league in passing yardage total, threw for 354 yards, completing 25 of his 46 passes and torched the Giants' secondary for four touchdowns, helping Indianapolis maintain a two-game lead over the Houston Texans in the AFC South division.

Luck's receiving corp were the beneficiaries, stat-wise, of his solid performance, with T.Y. Hilton catching three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown, Reggie Wayne hauling in four receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown and Dwayne Allen snagging four catches for 48 yards and a score.

"It was great to get back in the win column after a tough one last week," said Luck.

With the loss on Monday, the Giants have lost three in a row after winning three in a row.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning went 27-for-52, throwing for 359 yards and two touchdowns, but was let down by his receivers, who kept dropping their passes, costing New York valuable field position. Rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who has been stepping up since Victor Cruz went down with a season-ending knee injury, caught eight receptions for 156 yards.

The Giants' running game was non-existent, struggling mightily since Rashad Jennings went down with a sprained MCL. New York's Michael Cox had two carries for 27 yards while Andre Williams rushed for 22 yards on 12 attempts.

The Giants may have also lost defensive back Prince Amukamara for the season, leaving the game in the second quarter with a bicep injury and failing to return to the lineup after halftime. The list of injured players in New York's secondary keeps piling up , with the Giants having lost cornerbacks Walter Thurmond and Trumaine McBride for the season, while Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been hampered all year long with leg and back injuries, limiting his playing time.

"There is a lot of concern," said Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. "We've lost a player or two in each game, it seems like. That's not a good one. Prince was playing well. He did a very nice job tonight, and that was a blow to lose him."
