On Friday, VH1 issued a statement announcing the "Love and Hip Hop Hollywood" producers' decision to terminate cast member Yung Berg following his alleged attack on his current girlfriend and fellow "L&HH" cast member, Masika Kalysha.

"Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately," a VH1 rep wrote on VH1's blog.

The termination statement continues to reveal that Berg-whose biological name is Christian Ward-attacked Masika on Nov. 5 following the reunion taping of "Love and Hip Hop Hollywood."

TMZ reports that Masika told police, "He hit me and dragged me by my hair. He pinned me to the wall and grabbed me by my throat."

Following Berg's attack, Kalysha allegedly suffered "a laceration to her right forearm, a laceration above her left eyebrow, bruising to the left side of her neck, and a laceration to her chest," writes a TMZ rep.

Berg was immediately arrested and hit with an "obstruction of breathing" misdemeanor that was later dropped, MadameNoire reports. Berg was later charged with three counts of assault and one count of harassment.

So what caused the domestic dispute between Kalysha and Berg? Well, MadameNoire claims that Berg attacked Kalysha after she picked up Berg's tab because his credit card declined and he was unable to pay his bill.

The two then got into a heated argument when Kalysha confronted Berg about the situation and eventually the argument escalated to an attack.

Though VH1 has cut all ties and affiliation with Yung Berg, Kalysha is still holding on to the rapper/producer.

Boombox reports that Kalysha is defending Berg despite his attack and blaming alcohol as the reason why Berg spun out of control.

Yung Berg has yet to respond to the news regarding his termination.
