True Tori Cast Rumors: Dean McDermott Says Candy Spelling Didnt Help Daughter Tori Financially, Candy Denies Claims
Last week, Dean McDermott made several shocking revelations during a candid interview with Access Hollywood.
McDermott revealed that he would be quitting "True Tori" and that his family received no financial help from his wife's mother, Candy Spelling.
"We see [Candy] about eight times a year, holidays and kids' birthdays," McDermott revealed to Access Hollywood before adding, that "there's no financial help" from his mother-in-law.
Despite McDermott's claims, Candy Spelling is now speaking out to Access Hollywood herself, insisting that she has attempted to help her daughter's family on numerous occasions.
In an exclusive statement to Access Hollywood, Candy's rep says that she "has provided financial help in the past and has offered repeatedly to pay for the children's private schooling and Tori has never told her where to send the money."
Candy's rep also adds that she has attempted to see her grandchildren many times, however Tori and Dean ignored her efforts to reach out.
Although it is not clear who is telling the truth in regards to Candy's financial support, or lack therof, Us Weekly suggests that Candy's wealth could substantially help Tori and Dean who have openly discussed their financial struggles in several episodes of their Lifetime reality show, "True Tori."
According to Us Weekly, the Spellings own a massive estate known as Spelling Manor, which includes "a bowling alley, an entire floor of closets, and a parking lot that accommodates up to 100 vehicles."
Candy Spelling is the widow of Aaron Spelling, who earned his wealth from producing hit shows that include "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Charmed," and "7th Heaven," Us Weekly reports.
Tori Spelling has yet to speak on her mother's alleged lack of financial help.
Instead, the mother of four has been seen handling business since being released from the hospital for pneumonia last month, Us Weekly reported that time.
