Celebrity Book News: Jennifer Lopez, Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt Star in Book Trailers, Tom Hanks PublishingTypewriter Tales
Two Golden Globe nominated actors and a two-time Academy Award winner are sharing their books with fans through book trailers and typewriters. Jennifer Lopez and Stanley Tucci have both opted to use book trailers to advertise their memoir and cookbook respectively, and Tom Hanks has secured a deal for the release of a collection of short stories.
J.Lo's memoir titled "True Love" -- already in book stores -- is using a book trailer to advertise her personal journey.
Tucci too has chosen the book trailer route to showcase his and his wife's, Felicity Blunt, cookbook.
Hanks, who last summer launched the instant hit typewriting app, has a book deal for his short stories based on his collection of typewriters.
According to the Huffington Post, in her memoir, J.Lo opens up about her past relationships with Ben Affleck and Marc Anthony; on why she and Anthony divorced; and the root cause behind why her relationships did not work.
Lopez writes that when she and Affleck broke off their engagement, her heart was broken. Some people self medicate with drugs and so on, but for Lopez, she medicated by running into the arms of other men. That was when she met Anthony.
Of her divorce with Anthony, Lopez writes that she was just unhappy after one of the many arguments they had. It was the last straw.
The common thread for her relationship missteps was that constantly mistaking passion for love.

Tucci, and his literary agent wife, Blunt, cook up some tantalizing Cornish hens in their collaborative cookbook "The Tucci Table," out now. This cookbook features recipes from both of their families. Tucci's family is Italian, and Blunt's family is English, People.com reported. The cookbook includes pasta dishes and delights, like Yorkshire pudding.
Even some friends and family share their recipes in the book. Felicity's brother-in-law John Krasinski shares a chicken soup that Blunt swears he made.
The writers also share a snippet of their meals via the book trailer "Seduction to the Stove." As for the Cornish hens, the Tuccis recommend serving it with polenta frites and fresh corn on the cob.
From trailers to typewriters, Hanks -- a two-time Academy Award winning actor -- will publish a collection of short stories with Penguin Random House, BuzzFeed reported.
Alfred A. Knopf, who represents the publisher of Hanks's short stories, says that the short story collection is based on "connected photographs of typewriters from Hanks' personal collection." The actor has a love and an affinity for using typewriters.
"I've been collecting typewriters for no particular reason since 1978 -- both manual and portable machines dating from the 30s to the 90s," Hanks said. "The stories are not about the typewriters themselves, but rather, the stories are something that might have been written on one of them."
Hanks has already shown his writing chops in a story that was published in The New Yorker titled "Alan Bears Plus Four."
