Telemundo 'Dueños del Paraíso' News: Kate del Castillo's New Telenovela Gets a Trailer [Watch]
Kate del Castillo is making her grand return to Telemundo with "Dueños del Paraíso."
Since her 2011 Telemundo telenovela "La Reina del Sur," del Castillo has kept busy with appearances on "Grimm," "Dallas" and "K-11." She was also involved in "The Book of Life."
The new trailer shows del Castillo as Anastasia Cardona, and her look continues to change as the video goes on. The trailer starts off with Kool and the Gang's "Ladies Night" playing, as Cardona gets ready in front of a mirror.
"Were you waiting for me?" Cardona said to a group of people at a club.
By this point, Cardona has changed into a red outfit. She slams money onto the table that's in front of the group.
Though not too much information has been released on the show, "Dueños del Paraíso" will follow Cardona through the 1980s in Miami.
The narrator goes on to explain that in this era whoever had control of drugs had all the power. Her character is willing to do whatever it takes so that she can stay on top.
In a warehouse, where a woman is crying in the foreground, Cardona appears behind her.
"Were you looking for me?" Cardona asks. "Well, you're going to find me."
Del Castillo's character is also seen shooting guns, getting into a helicopter and threatening others in what seems to be a high-action show.
The show will start airing in 2015, and del Castillo explained a little bit about what audiences can expect.
"The series takes place at the end of seventies and the early 80s," she said. "It's going to be good. I'm happy. I couldn't leave my Spanish-speaking public."
Del Castillo also said to expect her to change up her look a lot. She wore many wigs throughout filming, and she enjoyed all the transformations.
