‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoilers and Recap: Jax's Plans for Revenge, Abel Reveals Who Killed Tara in 'Faith and Despondency'
In lieu of Bobby's funeral, the 'Faith and Despondency' episode started with steamy scenes of favorite characters paired off having sex. Even poor Juice, whose many mistakes landed him in prison, was seen enduring sex with a goth-rocker cellmate. The onslaught of naked skin on 'Sons of Anarchy" wasn't the only shocker--Abel broke the news to his dad that Gemma killed Tara, reports E! Online.
Finally, Jax knows the truth about who murdered Tara.
Jax, showing surprising compassion toward Wendy, tells 5-year-old Abel that she was his real mother. Jax further explains to Abel about his "two mommies," leading his son to ask if that's why "grandma killed my second mommy so my first mommy can be with me." The reveal will have to wait until next Tuesday.
The show tied up loose ends with SAMCRO setting up Moses and getting revenge for what Marks did to Bobby. Tension was in the air as the ambush scene unfolded and Moses and his men arrived. Moses' demise was indeed brutal-a good depiction of the saying "an eye for an eye."
One of the most talked about scenes of the episode was that between Tig and transgender escort Venus. The lovers, who are frequently thwarted by outside influences, share an intimate moment in bed and surprise fans by taking their relationship to the next level. Tig calls Venus "baby" and tells him that he wants to do this thing for real. Fans could not be more excited and confused-did anyone ever expect to see Tig want to settle down?
Diana Steenbergen of IGN TV writes, "Faith and Despondency" wrapped up some big storylines, including dispatching Moses and a big chunk of Marks's men, but the biggest developments in the episode belonged to Abel. First he put a plan in motion against Gemma as punishment for killing his mom, and then he blurted out the truth to Jax. Not bad for a five year-old."
