Rihanna Hot New Music & Album 2014: 'Pour It Up' Singer Teases Her Latest Project at Virginia Military Base
Singer Rihanna gave fans a little taste of what may be coming their way as the singer continues working on a new album.
During a meet-and-greet at a Virginia military base, Rihanna revealed a little about what to expect from her upcoming album and why she has not yet released one.
Rihanna, 26, made an appearance at Fort Belvoir in Virginia on Wednesday to greet the troops and fans in the area, according to the Associated Press. When asked about an upcoming album, the singer dangled very little information for fans.
"I can't give you any hints of when it will drop. It's going to be great, that's all I'm going to tell you and I'm excited about it," she said, explaining she was her own worst critic.
"I try to battle myself and outdo everything I've done and that's been the hardest thing to do. You start over thinking things at times."
However, she would divulge when she plans to release this elusive album, saying only that she hopes people enjoy it.
"I can't wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little. ... little by little. I can't wait," Rihanna told reporters.
This appearance at the military base has not been her only show of support for the troops. On Veterans' Day she performed alongside Bruce Springsteen and Eminem in Washington D.C. for "The Concert for Valor," according to the New York Daily News.
Aside from the aforementioned performers, The Black Keys, Dave Grohl, Metallica, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown band also partook in the tribute concert for American troops.
Rihanna performed "Stay" and "Diamonds" while wearing a chic black ensemble of long pants and a cape.
"The Concert for Valor" was produced by HBO and was available for streaming on iHeartRadio as well as the Armed Forces Network.
