Brazil will look to continue its solid play under Dunga when it visits Austria on an international friendly on Tuesday.

The team has been terrific since Dunga took over for Luiz Felipe Scolari after the World Cup. The team imploded infamously during the World Cup semifinals against Germany when it conceded five goals in the first half hour of the match and seven over the full 90 minutes.

Dunga previously coached the time through the 2010 World Cup cycle and was repeatedly criticized for his team's lack of flashy offense and the emphasis on defense. But now the defense is getting the plaudits as Dunga's side has yet to concede a single goal since he took over.

In his debut against Colombia, the team won 1-0, and in the following friendly against Ecuador, Brazil came away 1-0 winner, as well. A 2-0 win over Argentina was followed by two 4-0 blowouts against Japan and Turkey. Critics will claim that they are only friendlies and that Brazil was blowing out and shutting out opposition in friendlies under Scolari. However, the team's play has inspired greater confidence as the Selecao has rarely given up scoring opportunities during this run (save for the Argentina) game and players are taking note.

"I think that the defensive work is going very well," Fernandinho said, according to Soccerway. "The team has found a nice way to defend itself. In the attack, we have many good options. We have very quick players."

Of course, the focal point of the attack remains Neymar, who is coming off a four-goal performance against Japan and now has a whopping 40 goals in 58 matches for Brazil. He currently sits fifth on the all-time list of top Brazilian goalscorers. He is six goals behind Zico for fourth and 13 behind Romario. He is only 22 years old and only 35 behind Pele for the all-time lead. The legendary soccer icon managed the feat in 92 matches; at his current pace, Neymar would score about 65 goals in 92 games, which would push him past Ronaldo into second place. Pele played until he was 31 and struggled with injuries throughout his career. If Neymar can stay healthy, he could end up playing more games that Pele and could potentially break the record.

Not all is going swimmingly for Brazil, however. Previous Captain Thiago Silva recently aired his grievances about no longer being captain of the team.

"Sincerely, I didn't expect this. I would be lying if I said it didn't annoy me. It feels like something was taken away from me that was mine. It's painful and makes me sad," he said during a press conference ahead of the game. "Especially because no one has come to talk to me about this. Neymar didn't approach me. But I think we must be prepared for everything, somehow, even if I thought I was going to come and play. I have to be ready to be on the bench also."

It will be interested to see if Silva starts and how this ultimately affects his place with the team. More importantly, will his statement create tension in the locker room?

On the other side of the pitch will be an Austrian side that is coming off a huge 1-0 win over Russia in the Euro Cup qualifiers. The team is currently leading a tough qualifying group that includes the likes of Sweden, Russia and Montenegro.

It will be interesting to see if Austria starts its top players in this home game or opts for a more lax approach against the mighty South Americans.

The two teams last met in 1998 and Brazil won 2-0 on that occasion.

Predictions

Considering the current form the Selecao, one would be remiss to expect any other victor in this encounter. Austria is not an upper echelon European side and should not stand a chance against Dunga and company in this tilt. Expect a 3-0 win for Brazil.
