Nike Release Dates 2014: LeBron 12 ‘Instinct’, Kobe 9 ‘Gym Blue’ – Price, Where to Buy, Photos
Nike will release two highly anticipated sneakers this weekend -- the latest colorways of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant's signature shoe.
The LeBron 12, which has been making a lot of noise on the sneaker market over the past few weeks, will be released in Cave Purple/Hyper Grape-Hyper Crimson-Hyper Turquoise colorway, which is dubbed as the "Instinct" edition of the signature model.
This edition, which features a purple-based upper part combined with crimson and turquoise hints, is said to be inspired by James' unique skill set, which makes the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar arguably the best basketball player in the world.
"The latest colorway of the LeBron 12 is inspired from James's keen 20/20 eyesight combined with his uncommon speed and agility," Nike wrote about the shoe. "This combination translates to pinpoint, instinctual decisions, much like the way a hummingbird sees and navigates. LeBron James showcases an extraordinary blend of strength, court vision, efficiency and explosive speed while competing at basketball's highest level."
The LeBron 12 "Instinct" will be released on Saturday, Nov. 22, with retail price set at $200 per pair. According to Nike, this edition will also arrive at retailers in gradeschool sizes for $160 per pair.
This will be third colorway of the LeBron 12 released on the market after the "Dunk Force" and "Heart of a Lion" editions. More photos of the LeBron 12 "Instinct" are available on this link.
Aside from the new LeBron 12 sneaker, Bryant's Kobe 9 signature shoe will also hit shelves this weekend in select Nike retailers worldwide.
The Kobe 9 "Gym Blue" features a blue-based one-piece engineered mesh upper part combined with university gold Nike Swoosh logo, Bryant's signature, lace eyelets and outsole. It also sports a speckled midsole bearing Bryant's signature.
"The Kobe 9 features University Gold on the Swoosh mark and Flywire cables, they integrate with the laces for an adaptive, supportive fit and Gym Blue on the one-piece engineered mesh upper, which offers excellent breathability," Nike wrote in a statement. "The speckled midsole features a Kobe signature on the injected nylon heel clip and the Nike Lunarlon midsole delivers an ultra-soft, responsive ride."
This edition, which is officially listed as the Gym Blue/University Gold-Obsidian colorway of the shoe, will come out on Friday, Nov. 21, with retail price set at $160 per pair worldwide. Check the photos of this excellent-looking sneaker here.
