Minecraft maker Mojang has announced a new patch for the popular video game, which will correct some issues plaguing the game.

The new patch will be available next week, but there is also a new game inspired by the block-centric video game Block N Load by the makers of Runescape.

According to iDigital Times, Mojang announced that the Minecraft 1.8.1 has been pre-released ahead of the finished patch, which will be released Monday, Nov. 24. However, any major changes to the game, as in a 1.9 version, will not be coming for some months. Developer Nathan “Dinnerbone” Adams confirmed that to a Minecraft player on Twitter.

This pre-release only covers four bugs, which are listed here.

Aside from Minecraft’s upcoming upgrade, another video game developer, Jagex Games Studios, has released a new first person shooter-like game inspired by Minecraft. Block N Load allows the player to choose from six characters to play as, according to Game Spot.

The game is different from other FPS because a player must worry about defense just as much as offense. A player can build fortifications to defend their ground and must protect them to survive, just as much as they can destroy their opponent’s defenses.

"We've been building Block N Load for a while now, and we're immensely excited by how the game is shaping up. Block N Load represents a true departure from the type of games that Jagex is known for; it's not browser-based, it's not free-to-play, and it's not an MMO," said “Block N Load” VP David Solari in a statement.
