WWE SmackDown Spoilers, Results for Nov. 28, 2014: Daniel Bryan Returns, Forces Luke Harper to Defend IC Title in Post-Survivor Series Show
In a post-Thanksgiving episode right after a monumental Survivor Series, MizTV, hosted by The Miz and his stunt-double Damien Sandow, opened up Friday Night SmackDown with his special guest, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan.
Bryan informed the newly-crowned WWE Tag Team Champions that he was running SmackDown and scheduled three bouts for the night: Seth Rollins versus Ryback, Luke Harper defending his Intercontinental Championship in a rematch against Dolph Ziggler and Rusev putting his United States Championship on the line in a 20-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royal as punishment for failing to recite the Pledge of Allegiance on Monday Night Raw.
Rusev managed to successfully defend his United States Championship in the 20-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royal getting past The Miz, Damien Mizdow, The Big Show, Eric Rowan, Jack Swagger, Heath Slater, Titus O'Neil, Stardust, Goldust, Justin Gabriel, Sin Cara, Adam Rose, Tyson Kidd, Los Matadores, Cesaro and the Usos. Rusev fended off the last three competitors -- Kidd, Cesaro and Swagger -- to retain his title.
