Reality television star Nicole Polizzi, otherwise known as Snooki, married her long-time boyfriend Jionni LaValle in New Jersey over the weekend. The MTV personality married the father of her children in a conventional wedding that involved a Catholic ceremony and a reception at a glitzy banquet hall in Northern Jersey.

Snooki and her new husband, both 27, married on Saturday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in East Hanover, New Jersey, according to People. A reception at the Venetian banquet hall in Garfield followed soon after.

The couple, who got engaged in March 2012, married in a traditional ceremony, following Snooki’s wishes. However, to spice things up, the wedding had a "Great Gatsby' theme.

According to NJ Advanced Media, “Jersey Shore” cast members Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi Giancola, Deena Cortese, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio and Ronald "Ronnie" Ortiz-Magro attended. Vinny Guadagnino and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino were not invited.

Polizzi had 15 bridesmaids, including Farley, Cortese and Giancola, who wore 1920s-inspired hair pieces and black strapless mermaid dresses. LaValle had 17 groomsmen, and his two brothers served as best men.

The couple’s two children, 2-year-old Lorenzo and 2-month-old Giovanna, participated in the ceremony per their mother’s wishes.

"Our children are our lives, so it would be wrong not to include them on our special day," Snooki told NJ Advanced media. “A wedding resembles a family's commitment to each other and I feel like the kids need to be involved.”

Snooki as well as her “Jersey Shore” friends took to social media to talk share their wedding experience, including posting photos on Instagram.
