After teasing her new music last week, Rihanna may release her highly anticipated eighth studio album on Christmas.

According to the recent preview snippet she shared via Instagram on Nov. 25, the Barbadian star's latest project sounds edgier than ever:

Meanwhile, online retailer Play.com allegedly put up a simple preorder portal for RiRi's upcoming record as well as its deluxe version. Although the album title and tracklist are yet to be announced, the listing states that the new LP was "released on 24 November 2014" but will not be shipped until Dec. 26, as they are "awaiting stock."

Moreover, the deluxe version of the "Diamonds" hitmaker's forthcoming effort is currently priced at £13.98 ($21.99), while the standard version is available to preorder for £10.98 ($17.28) on the advertising website.

Although the site seems a bit suspicious, an online website actually advertised the recently dropped platinum edition of Beyoncé's self-titled fifth studio album ahead of its release that turned out to be correct. Rihanna has yet to say anything on the speculations, previously tweeting:

In addition, Davia Guetta, who previously teamed up with the "Pour It Up" singer for her 2012 hit "Right Now," recently revealed that there is more than one record that she is working on.

"I have done a couple tracks for her but it's for a second album," he told Daily Star, referring to RiRi's upcoming animated music movie "Home." "She's doing a film and the music is for the soundtrack to that film. It's quite different."

"I had her in mind for 'No Money No Love.' But it's complicated," he added. "Instead, we've 'Ms Dynamite' and 'Elliphant.' They're timeless songs."
