Mel B Husband and Eddie Murphy: Former Spice Girl Talks Dating a Woman, Her 'Great' Sex Life and Being Least Close With Victoria Beckham
During a recent interview with The Guardian, former Spice Girls singer, Melanie Brown revealed that she was in a four-year relationship with a woman who goes by the name of Crista Parker.
Us Weekly reports that Brown recalled the time she met Parker, a mother of two, at the school that both of their children attended at the time.
Despite her long-term relationship with a woman, Brown insists that she is now happily married to who she describes as her "penis" for seven years -- her husband and film producer, Stephen Belafonte. She revealed that she and Belafonte have quite a vibrant sex life that has allowed them to continue their successful marriage over the years.
"Let me put it this way, we're just very sexually compatible in every way," Brown explained. "We think very much alike, and we get turned on by the same things."
Brown was also asked about her thoughts on being called a lesbian or bisexual, Brown responded,
"People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who's in my bed and that's it. I have a huge libido and a great sex life," she said according to The Guardian.
Prior to her relationship with Belafonte, Brown was involved in a high-profile and tumultuous relationship with comedian Eddie Murphy. Though the two are no longer together, Brown revealed that "everything is fine" between her and Murphy currently.
"We go over there as a family," she said of her son's relationship with Murphy. "We have dinners together, everything is fine ... now. He's a great guy. Look, we fell in love with each other, we had a gorgeous child together. Some of my friends don't even see their exes, and they've got kids together."
In addition to keeping in touch with Murphy, Brown also revealed that she still keeps in touch with her former Spice Girls bandmates. However, Brown did admit that Victoria Beckham is the hardest to reach out of the girls.
"They are all in my phone. ... I just saw Emma recently," she said of the Spice Girls. "I went to Mexico with her. Then I was talking to Mel C the other day. I guess I am least close to Victoria, because she has a whole empire to run and that girl is bu-u-usy."
