Ugly Betty and Devious Maids star Ana Ortiz is to appear on the third season of ABC's Revenge.

The actress confirmed that she would be appearing on the popular series via her Twitter account and during an exclusive interview with Latina magazine. ABC reps say that she will be portraying Bizzy Preston, a self-assured publicist, tasked to do damage control for the toxic and villainous Grayson Family. For now, she is only scheduled for one episode, but depending on her character's reception, the role could be expanded.

Revenge is a primetime ABC series that features Emily VanCamp as Madeleine Stowe, a young woman who is hell-bent on destroying the family that not only framed her father for the death of dozens in a plane crash, but also had him murdered. The Graysons, the aforementioned family, are a corrupt group of self-serving individuals who stop at nothing to get what they want. Bizzy Preston, played by the Puerto-Rican mother of two, will handle public relations for that family.

Ortiz studied ballet for eight years before switching to singing. The multi-talented star made her acting debut on stage when she performed in Hair with a European touring production. She went on to do regional theater and off-Broadway features before appearing in her first film, Condition Red (1995). Afterward, she appeared in smaller roles in film and on television until she landed her most well-known role as sassy and empathetic Hilda Suarez on Ugly Betty (2006-2010).

After the show's run, she appeared in the film Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son and on series Hung, before taking on the role in a show that would, again, make her a house hold name, Devious Maids. On Devious Maids, Ortiz plays Marisol Suarez, alias Marisol Duarte, a woman who goes undercover as a maid in a Beverly Hills home in order to prove that her son did not commit a murder.
