Marvel 'Avengers 2 'Age of Ultron' Spoilers, Characters & Cast News: Concept Art for The Vision Surfaces, What Does It Reveal?
If you're a fan of "The Avengers" and you're gearing up for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," chances are you have been inundated with information, clues and conspiracy theories that may or may not come to fruition in the film.
At this point, you might even be seeing visions.
But at the same time, you're not going to pass up an image that can be worth a thousand words, right?
Well "Avengers" fans, you're in luck: Concept art from "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has reportedly surfaced, featuring a closer look at the cool design for The Vision.
The concept art, which was posted by Instagram user Israel06, shows The Vision, who is played by Paul Bettany, aka the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. -- and he's not alone! He's surrounded by fellow Avengers Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Captain America.
The Vision concept art stays true to the comic book version of the character. He's in all of his glory sporting his signature green, red and yellow armor with a cape that is slightly flowing down his sides.
What can we expect from The Vision in "Avengers: Age of Ultron?"
"In the Marvel Cinematic Universe it is Tony Stark who jumps starts the Ultron program (based off work that may have been started by Michael Douglas' Hank Pym decades before)," Screenrant reported. "However, after Tony gives life to one A.I. lifeform, Ultron will presumably seek to flex his own godly powers of creation by making The Vision, an Android played by Paul Bettany -- aka the voice behind Tony Stark's A.I. companion, J.A.R.V.I.S. (Coincidence, we think not.)"
In the fall, Marvel fans got a first glimpse at The Vision with the help of international fans posting "Avengers 2" promo art via Instagram.
Is the concept art for The Vision actually real?
"Based on history, we can presume it's real," Screenrant adds.
"This design of The Vision fits in with both the classic comic version of the character, and the 'mesh armor' aesthetic of Avengers members like Hawkeye, Widow and Captain America. There is also the familiar insignia on the character's chest -- which in this modernized take almost serves as a nice little ode to the arc reactor in his 'grandfather' Tony Stark's chest," Screenrant explains. "If The Vision is -- as many fans speculate -- J.A.R.V.I.S. given physical form, then the costume links between creator and creation will be even more fitting."
The cast of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" includes James Spader, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Aaron Taylor, Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Lou Ferrigno.
Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters May 1, 2015.
