The title and cast to the upcoming James Bond 24 movie has been revealed.

The film will be called "Spectre," and fans of the series can expect the movie to open on Nov. 6, 2015.

In a morning conference, the team behind "Spectre" released a video with the new title and the date coupled with the theme music to the James Bond franchise. Daniel Craig, who will reprise his role as James Bond, and director Sam Mendes attended the conference with producer Barbara Broccoli.

The team announced that Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris will return to the franchise after their acclaimed performances in "Skyfall."

The new additions include Lea Seydoux, the French actress known for her work in "Blue is the Warmest Color" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel," and Dave Bautista, who had a breakout role in "Guardians of the Galaxy." Other newcomers include Andrew Scott, who is known for his work on BBC's "Sherlock," and the famous Italian actress Monica Bellucci, who appeared in "The Matrix" and recently in the Italian festival hit "The Wonders."

The biggest news, however, was that Christoph Waltz will play the villainous role of Oberhauser in the film. Waltz joins a line of international actors who have portrayed villains in the franchise. The past three films have seen Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen in "Casino Royale," French actor Mathieu Amalric in "Quantum of Solace" and Spanish actor Javier Bardem in "Skyfall." He also joins a line of Germanic actors who have been featured in the franchise, including Gert Frobe, Andreas Wisniewski, Gotz Otto and Ilse Steppat.

The Austrian-born Waltz has played villainous roles before and is particularly well known for his work in "Inglorious Bastards" for which he won an Academy Award for playing a Nazi officer. He later appeared in the villain role in "The Green Hornet" and appeared yet again as an anti-hero in "Water for Elephants." This year, he appeared as a scheming husband Walter Keane in "Big Eyes" and as the evil boss in "Horrible Bosses 2."

Casting Waltz seems like type casting at this point in his career, but he is likely to bring charisma to this role and give another dynamic performance as he faces off against Craig's brooding Bond.

The announcement also revealed cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema will take over for Roger Deakins, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work in "Skyfall." Van Hoytema has been on the rise in the past few years as he worked on the acclaimed films "Her" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy." Most recently, he worked on Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" for which he is garnering Oscar attention.

Editor Lee Smith will also join the team and take over for Stuart Baird, who edited "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall." Smith is best known for his work on Nolan's films, and he has been nominated for the Academy Award for his work on "The Dark Knight." He also received a lot of attention for his stylistic editing in "Inception" and recently edited "Interstellar." Smith has also been credited for his work on "The Way Back," "The Truman Show" and "Elysium."

Plot details were not revealed, and it seems that Mendes and Broccoli will keep them secret. The film is set to start shooting on Monday. The event also saw the unveiling of the latest Bond car for the upcoming film, the Aston Martin DB10.

The film is set for release on Nov. 6, 2015, and will compete against "The Peanut Movie," which has already revealed a trailer.
