It's been over a year since "Dexter" fans started mourning the end of the Showtime hit starring Michael C. Hall. Luckily, the sadness can be accompanied by reruns, as NUVOtv has made December a month to celebrate not only the violent drama, but also the Latino cast members that made the show unforgettable.

On Monday, the cable network will air the last two episodes of "Dexter," "Monkey in a Box" and the series finale, "Remember the Monsters," starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Because of the strong Latino presence on the "Dexter" cast, NUVOtv executives, which include superstar Jennifer Lopez as chief creative officer, found the show to be perfect for its Hispanic demographic.

"'Dexter' is no doubt a show with a strong and loyal following, and we knew it would have a special home with the NUVOtv audience in particular," Bill Hilary, president of NUVOtv said in a statement to Latin Post. "It's an iconic series that features one of the most incredible lineups of Latino actors out there, and we're glad to have brought the entire series to our viewers this year."

In addition to airing the series finale this month, NUVOtv will also air the entire series starting on Christmas Day and ending on New Year's Day.

In preparation for the ultimate "Dexter" binge month, let's take a look at where some of our favorite Latino cast members are now.

David Zayas (Sgt. Angel Batista)

Zayas has stayed busy since ending "Dexter" with appearances on TV shows "The Blacklist" and "Saint George" and the 2014 film "Ride."

Currently, Zayas can be seen on Fox's "Gotham" as Sal Maroni, a mobster running the streets of the city home to an adolescent, pre-Batman Bruce Wayne.

Zayas also has a busy schedule ahead with movies "The Wannabe" and "Annie" premiering this year.

In 2015, Zayas will play the head of security at Roosevelt Hospital in "The Lennon Report," a movie about life after John Lennon's death, according to a press release.

Lauren Vélez (Lt. Maria LaGuerta)

Vélez as been working on a movie based on the life of famous Havana, Cuba, singer Lupe, "I Am La Lupe." The movie was funded by Kickstarter donors in 2013. A release date has not been announced yet.

In October, Vélez started production on "South of Hell," an upcoming WE tv supernatural thriller TV series. She plays Tetra, a "spiritual informant," the network reports.

Since "Dexter" ended, the Afro-Latina actress has spoken about the death of her character.

"There's something really wonderfully fulfilling about it and bittersweet about leaving my 'Dexter' family," she told Hollywood.com in January. "But I'm glad that she left the way she did ... willing to die for what she believed in."

Aimee Garcia (Jamie Batista)

In February, viewers saw Garcia as scientist Jaw Kim in "RoboCop," a role she told EFE was originally meant for an Asian actress.

"But I fought hard," she said. "... Why couldn't a Latina be a scientist?"

In July, Deadline reported that Garcia and "Hart of Dixie's" Mircea Monroe were cast in "Impastor," a TV Land comedy pilot. Monroe plays Buddy, and Garcia will reportedly star as bartender LeeAnne, "Buddy's put-upon girlfriend ... who is used to Buddy leading a chaotic, trouble-jammed lifestyle."

"But after Buddy disappears, an apparent suicide, LeeAnne has a new set of problems: dealing with her snarky mother, dealing with the cops, dealing with a funeral director, and (most complicated of all) dealing with Buddy's criminal creditors on top of the guilt of 'abandoning' him," Deadline reports.

"Impastor" premieres in 2015.

Christian Camargo (Brian Moser)

Camargo has enjoyed various roles since leaving "Dexter" in 2011, including a part as Eleazar in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" in 2012.

In 2014, Camargo joined the cast of Broadway's "Romeo and Juliet" as the Mercutio to Orlando Bloom's Romeo. The show will end its run on Dec. 8, according to Broadway.

Next, Camargo will play a race car driver in the movie "Shift," WENN reports.

"'Shift' is a really personal story for [writer] Randy [Spence], and I have so much respect for him putting that out into the public," he said in October.

"Shift" is currently in pre-production, according to IMDb.

Until then, catch Camargo on Season 3, Episode 7 of CBS' "Elementary," scheduled to air on Dec. 11. According to TVLine, he will play "a past (and possibly future) love of Lucy Liu's sleuth."

Edward James Olmos (Professor James Gellar)

As expected, respected actor Olmos reportedly has several movies in the works.

Olmos' next film will be an untitled drama about a Spanish family and a "a 12-year-old boy who realizes he must escape his passionate yet dysfunctional family to effect change," The Hollywood Reporter reports. Olmos will play Savino, the grandfather of the main character. The movie is scheduled to be released early 2015.

Almos also won the Film 4 Change Humanitarian Award at the AMFM Festival in November, The Desert Sun reports.

Jimmy Smits (ADA Miguel Prado)

Smits has been playing Nero Padilla on FX's "Sons of Anarchy," which will end its seven season run on Dec. 9.

"It has all of those elements that have been the signature of the show throughout the seven seasons," Smits said of the series finale, Entertainment Weekly reports this week. "I was a little surprised, specifically, about the way Nero ends up. But I totally get it. I totally get it."
