Jimmy Fallon is now a dad of two after he and his wife welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday.

The "Tonight Show" host and 47-year-old wife, Nancy Juvonen, welcomed their baby girl at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 3 through a surrogate. She weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces reaching 18.5 inches long.

The couple chose to keep their child a secret until the baby was born naming her Frances Cole Fallon.

Jimmy took an additional day off of work to spend with the new baby. The NBC show will play a repeat episode Friday while he settles with his new bundle of joy. The 40-year-old talk show host is expected to return Monday to interview Chris Rock and Carrie Underwood.

Little Frances joins her 1-year-old sister Winnie Rose.

The former "Saturday Night Live" star tweeted Wednesday, "Franny sends her thanks."

After Winnie was born in July 2013, Fallon talked about his excitement with being a new dad, although it may be exhausting at times.

"Yeah, I'm pretty tired. But basically it's a weird type of tired, where it's like you're so tired but you don't feel exhausted, you feel like, 'I just have to do this, so I'm gonna keep moving through this pace,'" he said.

"It's fun, it's fun tired because you're just excited to see what she does next. It's exciting."

Fallon said, "Last night we were giving her a sponge bath, and she loves it when you put the water on her head, her little head, she has a tiny little round head. ... She's a great baby. Doesn't cry."

Aside from being a happy dad, Jimmy Fallon inspired a group of college students at Olin College in Needham, Massachusetts, to create a pair of hashtag gloves.

Their invention, inspired by a "hashtag" skit with Fallon and Justin Timberlake, would allow users to tap their fingers twice using the "hashtag" symbol and speak out loud to tweet instead of using their phones.
