Days after speculation about the possible changes to the Xbox One Nov. 22 release date, Microsoft has claimed that it will still deliver all Day One editions of the game consoles as planned, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

After Gotta Be Mobile contacted Best Buy, the retailer told them that they are still on track to receive their purchased game consoles but that it may not be the very first shipment.

Despite what Microsoft says, some consumers are receiving mixed e-mails from their retailers. In a poll on Gotta Be Mobile, 255 people said their Xbox One Day One pre-order is on track for delivery on the actual release date. But another 55 people said that their Day One edition is currently being delayed.

There clearly needs to be some better communication between Microsoft and its retailers to prevent more confusion and mixed messages. Even as some people have been told that their game console would be delayed, Microsoft maintains that "All Day One pre-orders will be fulfilled as planned at launch."

The Sony Playstation 4, on the other hand, will be released earlier in the month and will have a head start on sales. Not only will the PS4 have an earlier release date, but the game console is also $100 cheaper, which could make all the difference in the sales. In fact, reports this week have indicated that the PS4 is expected to beat out its counterpart in sales leading up to the end of the year and holiday season.

The PS4 will hit \ American shelves exactly at the midpoint in the month -- November 15 -- while gamers from Europe and other parts of the world will have to wait a bit longer.
