Lil Wayne Hot New 'Carter V' Album Release 2014: Weezy Hints at Leaving Cash Money Records; What Will Happen to Upcoming LP? [Watch]
While fans are anxiously anticipating his "Tha Carter V" album release, Lil Wayne recently hinted at leaving Cash Money Records.
Weezy took to his Twitter account on Thursday to express his frustrations with his label, as well as its CEO Birdman, blaming for his latest project's numerous delays:
Similarly, Lil Tunechi addressed the recent controversy during his performance at the Vice 20th Anniversary Concert in Brooklyn on Friday. "I was supposed to drop my new album Dec. 9, but due to technical difficulties I'm f*cked up in a bad situation," he told the audience. "But I will be out of this soon and I do it for y'all. So put the motherf*ckin' fives up for 'Carter V.'"
Ever since the "Believe Me" rapper's public criticism toward Baby and his record company, fans have signed an online petition urging them to drop his long delayed album before Christmas. However, manager Cortez Bryant insisted that things are just good between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records. "We're good," he told TMZ. "I'm smiling. What are you talking 'bout? I wouldn't be out in the club. We're good. We're super good. You see me."
