In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Kate Hudson's estranged father, Bill Hudson, discussed his opinion on his daughter's recent split from musician Matt Bellamy and his belief that Kate has a "wandering eye" that makes her susceptible to breakups.

"It's heartbreaking to see yet another of Kate's relationships break down," he reportedly said. "She has a wandering eye, just like her mother [Goldie Hawn]."

In addition to Kate's "wandering eye" and alleged infidelity, Bill also blamed Kate's A-list Hollywood upbringing under her mother and Academy award-winner Goldie Hawn's care as another reason for her inability to maintain romantic relationships.

"What people don't realize is that behind the glitz and glamour of fame and stardom is a darker reality," he explained. "When you are in a bubble -- and Kate's been in a bubble her whole life as the daughter of a celebrity and now a celebrity herself -- it is much harder to sustain a long-term relationship."

Because of Kate's famous upbringing, Bill accuses Kate of being "selfish."

"To be a star, by its very definition, you have to be selfish. To sustain her level of fame Kate has to put herself first, and that isn't a recipe for successful romance."

Bill also confessed to being responsible for Kate's struggles with love. The Daily Mail reports that Bill abandoned Kate at an early age.

Bill's revelation to the Daily Mail comes on the heels of reports that Kate and her long-time fiance Matt Bellamy ended their relationship.

Since the news of the couple's split, Hudson is now being linked to dancer Derek Hough. Us Weekly reports that Hudson was seen on a date with Hough at Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles. The two were seen drinking and eating, and they stayed at the restaurant past closing time.

Matt has yet to be linked with anyone else following the breakup. However, the Muse frontrunner did post a tweet last week claiming that his breakup with Kate was "for the best."
