You'll Never Guess What 'Violetta' Star Martina Stoessel Revealed About Her Childhood
Teenage superstar Martina "Tini" Stoessel got very candid in a recent interview, where she shared many details about her childhood.
The Disney Channel star of "Violetta" opened up about her childhood habits on "Lengua Viva."
"I used a baby bottle until I was 7, and I sucked my thumb until I was 11," she said. "I was too much of a baby. I was a mommy's and daddy's girl, attached to them."
She made this confession after explaining that during the first season of "Violetta" she wore a false tooth. She was 14 at the time, but there was one tooth that hadn't grown.
Her dad, Alejandro Stoessel, is a producer, and he was approached about by the "Violetta" team, who was interested in Tini. Her father was against the idea because he didn't want Tini to be in the industry at such a young age.
Alejandro was told that, though the Disney team had looked for a protagonist for "Violetta" for nearly a year, there still wasn't anyone who was fit for the role. Alejandro was invited to take Tini on auditions in case he changed his mind.
Alejandro ended up asking Tini if she was interested in going to the casting a day before, and though Tini had never done it before, she agreed.
But she was ready for the challenge.
Her dad created "Patito Feo," so she was a frequent guest on the set.
"I went to the recordings of 'Patito Feo," she said. "I was a fan of Brenda [Aniscar]. And I imitated Brenda."
Now, young girls are looking up to Tini, but she doesn't think it's too much effort for her. She describes herself as calm, and says she has no problem keeping up a sparkling image.
"What you do can send a message to children," she said. "As an artist, one of the most beautiful things you can do is transmit a positive message to the world."
