Following his recent split from on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown is now rumored to be dating Kendall Jenner.

Earlier this month, Brown took to his Instagram account to post a picture of himself with Jenner sitting on his lap, next to her sisters Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian -- which made Tran feel "publicly disrespected," according to TMZ.

While fans are speculating that the "New Flame" singer has moved on from his previous relationship by dating the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, HollywoodLife.com is reporting otherwise.

"It's not even like that, Kendall and Chris are friends and nothing more," a source said. "He sees her like a little sister who's making a way for herself and her career. He would never even think of going there with her. It's not cool. Plus he's married."

The source then insisted that Brown and Tran would be together forever.

"It's a figure of speech," the source explained. "Yes, he's married to Karrueche because that's what their relationship feels like -- a marriage."

However, it seems like it will be quite difficult for the two to reconcile soon, since the "Loyal" hitmaker apparently told his longtime lover in the beginning of their relationship he used her to make his ex-girlfriend Rihanna jealous.

"He basically said the most messed up things to her ever," another source said. "Granted, they were in a heated argument, and Chris snapped and told her that 'when we first met, you were just a pawn in my game, and I was really using you to make Rihanna jealous.'"

The source said that Tran has forgiven Brown, but "that will never escape her mind."

"Him telling her that, even though they both were arguing and saying things they shouldn't have, Karrueche felt like that cut her open and she's still bleeding from that," the source said.
