Drake 'Nothing Was the Same' Album Lyrics & Tracklist: Raekwon Gets Verse on 'Wu-Tang Forever' Remix
Another member of Wu-Tang Clan is being considered to be on the remix version of Drake's R&B-heavy and melodic track "Wu-Tang Forever" from his recently released album "Nothing Was The Same."
While U-God confirms that Masta Killa and Cappadonna already have recorded their verses, Raekwon the Chef announces his plans to pitch in a guest verse for "Wu-Tang Forever" remix in the future.
"I ain't got a chance to bust my joint off yet, but I talked to Drake and we're gonna get to it. It just was like, we were on the road, things were happening so quick. Some brothers were able to go in there and smash out, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to get there yet, but it's gonna happen though."
In addition, there are some divided opinions regarding the name of the track, some of them even criticizing it because the song is not really a tribute to Wu-Tang Clan, despite being named after the Clan's acclaimed 1997 double-album "Wu-Tang Forever." U-God and Ghostface supports it; Inspectah Deck disapproves. The Cuban Linx rapper speaks on his viewpoint, which he actually feels that the song was recorded with good intentions towards Wu-Tang Clan.
"At the end of the day, regardless of what we were mentioned in a great way. He named the title of his song after brothers, so however you did it, at the end of the day, it's still love, it's still respect there. I still thought the record was a great record, regardless of what. It ain't nothin' rude about the record, nothin' disrespectful, it's all love. Hey, I'm for it."
