Super Saturday Sales 2014: The Under $100 Last Minute Tech & Gadget Gift Guide
Black Friday might be an ideal time for eager shoppers to find great deals on gadgets and top-name electronics, but for procrastinators, the weekend before Christmas is just as important.
That's why it's becoming more common to see "Super Saturday" sales (a term that retailers have started to coalesce around), and it's why we have a guide to the best cheap, quick and creative gadget buys and sales that will help you cross off your holiday shopping list before it's too late.
Google Chromecast
The Google Chromecast is one of the best cheap gadgets out there. Its price at launch was only $35, and now you can pick up the HDMI dongle for $30 at Best Buy, with a $20 Google Play credit thrown in.
On top of that, you can get some extras thrown in as well, according to Gizmodo, including a free X-Men movie, two months of Hulu Plus and three months of Google Play Music subscription access.
Automatic
Wish you could magically transform your wheels into a smartcar? As long as it was manufactured after about 1997, you can use Automatic's diagnostic plug-in and app -- for iPhone, Android or on the web -- to turn it into one.
That's because Automatic is like a fitness tracking wristband for your car. Plug it into your car's OBD diagnostic port, set up the app, and you can use Automatic to track your car's fuel efficiency, the average cost for trips, driving habits and more. It can even find and automatically tag parking spots and issue audible warnings if your vehicle is traveling above a certain MPH threshold.
Usually, Automatic's smartcar system costs about $100, but it's on sale on the company's website for $80 with free two-day shipping until the end of the holiday shopping season.
Samsung 32" HDTV at Target
It used to be that if you missed out on the big Black Friday doorbusters, you missed out on the best TV deals of the season. This year, there's one more great TV sale hitting Super Saturday morning but will only stick around while supplies last.

Sure, it's the most expensive item on this otherwise under $100 gift guide, but at $200, Target's sale on Samsung 32" HDTVs can't be ignored. That's because if you pick one up, you'll be saving $120 off list price, and Target is throwing in a $10 gift card just to add a cherry on top.
ASUS MeMO Pad 7
Not everyone is an Android fan, but if you're getting a decent tablet for less than $80, you might become one.
The ASUS MeMO Pad 7 doesn't come with the latest Android and won't be great for high-end gaming, but for anyone who just wants a larger screen to stream movies in bed and other mobile essentials, it'll certainly do just fine.

It comes with a 1.2GHz Intel processor, Android 4.3 (upgradable to KitKat), a front and rear camera, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 64GB more.
And you can pick it up for $79 on Amazon right now with free two-day shipping for Prime members.
Late Deals, Local Sales, and Clearance Items
The best part about procrastinating until Super Saturday (i.e., five days until Christmas) is the unexpected sales you find from retailers just trying to clear inventory before the end of the year.
But those types of sales aren't advertised in circular ads weeks before they happen, which means you have to find those deals yourself. Luckily, there's an app for that -- actually, several.
To help you out, we reviewed the top two holiday shopping apps here. Happy shopping, and good luck!
