Rosie Rivera Explains How the Riveras Will Celebrate Christmas, Talks About Her New Movie
Rosie Rivera was meeting children at an event when "Despierta America" caught up with her to talk about the holidays.
She and her family will be going to her mother's house to celebrate Christmas, she said.
"The Rivera family will be with my Mom," she said. "We're doing a present exchange because there's just too many of us. We're going to eat tamales. That day there's no Rivera dynasty. There are no artists."
Rosie also spoke of her nephew, Johnny Lopez, who is Jenni's youngest child.
She described him as a producer and said he has made several videos the family has used.
"He's already working on the one for Jenni Vive 2015," she said about the annual concert thrown in honor of Jenni Rivera. "He loves his mother. He's her No. 1 fan. He continues honoring her legacy through videos."
Now that Rosie has more time to take on projects, she revealed she will be appearing in a short movie. Rosie said the 20-minute video deals with domestic abuse and drugs.
She plays the wife of a man living in east Los Angeles, but she said the film has a message of hope.
Rosie added she might do a bigger movie later but is not certain if it will happen.
In October, Rosie revealed now that she moved out of Jenni's home, she has more time for herself. And now she's ready to follow some of her own dreams.
"I have more help now," she said on "Despierta America." "I can now go for my dreams a bit more. I'm writing my book. I'm involved in a reality show, where I can show who I am. My big, big dream is to one day have my own talk show."
