While some celebrities have used social media to get closer to their fans, others have caused plenty of commotion.

Here's a look back at the biggest moments on social media in 2014.

1. In April, Jose Alberto "El G" Castro shared an image of horns. This led many to believe that he was insinuating that Boyer cheated on him, and his followers mentioned this in the comment section, according to El Diario. The image was later deleted.

2. Eiza Gonzalez posted a picture of herself at the beach. But what really caught people's attention were her bikini line tattoos.

3. Ariadne Diaz did not help rumors that she and "La Malquerida" co-star Christian Meier were dating. When the finale aired in Mexico, she shared a picture on Twitter of herself and Meier looking cozy.

4. Elizabeth Gutierrez shared a rare image of herself and William Levy. The image sparked rumors that the two were perhaps together.

5. Cristian Castro posted a very revealing image. He wore a thong before getting a massage.

Unfortunately for Castro, the image was used for memes, notes El Universal, and he may have closed his Twitter account, but the image remains.

6. Polo Morin had a very embarrassing moment. Vanguardia reported the "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" actor became a trending topic after his nude images were released.

The star ended up closing his Twitter account after people saw and shared the images.

7. Thalia played a joke on her followers by posting a video with her ribs. For many years, she has been accused of removing some of her ribs to be thinner.

She eventually deleted the picture, but she did keep a picture of herself with the jar, where she explained that they were not her ribs.

8. Chiquis Rivera shared a sweet message in honor of her mother on the second anniversary of her death.

"I don't have words, other than, I miss you. Life was just so much more enjoyable with you here. I love you. So much. #MyMomma #JenniLives," she said.
