Some artists like Justin Timberlake bring sexy back, but will Marvel's "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" bring back "The Incredible Hulk's" Abomination (Tim Roth) to its "Avengers" sequel?  

According to several reports, Marvel considered bringing back The Abomination for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," but it fell through the cracks.

Roth, who once played the monstrous villain Emil Blonsky a.k.a. The Abomination in "The Incredible Hulk," as well as General Thade in "Planet of the Apes," recently dished to Crave Online as to whether there was any chance that he would reprise his role.

"They were going to do it," Roth said. "They did do that. They were thinking, in 'The Avengers 2' or something. There was a movie we could do that at one point, but way back when. It just kind of got swept under the carpet, I guess. That would be hilarious."

The British actor is currently doing the rounds promoting the Golden Globe-nominated film "Selma," in which he stars as George Wallace, the former governor of Alabama.

In August 2013, Roth was in attendance at Television Critics Association summer press tour where he talked about his TV series "Lie To Me." While there, he was also asked about his connections with the Marvel studio.

"He admitted that Marvel has signed him up for three films, although he didn't reveal any further details regarding such films," CinemaBlend pointed out. "If Abomination is not in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' then there are still more upcoming Marvel movies where he could possibly be featured, including 'Captain America: Civil War.'"

It's also important to note, "Nobody from 'The Incredible Hulk' has joined the cast of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe since the movie was released, although characters like Major Glenn Talbot, who appears in 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and has connections to Hulk's General Thunderbolt Ross, have," Comicbook.com adds.

Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," stars James Spader, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Aaron Taylor, Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Lou Ferrigno, among others.

Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters May 1, 2015.
