Macbook Pro 2013 Release Date, Features and Specs: OS X Mavericks Developer Launch Hints on Oct. 22 Laptop Launch
It seems that Apple MacBook fans don't have to wait longer to get their hands on the new Pro as rumors have it that the laptop will be released by this month.
Several reports have been surfacing over the past weeks that the Cupertino-based tech giant will be releasing the much anticipated update to its MacBook Pro series to consumers this October. Notably, two release dates have been circulating around the tech world: October 15 and October 22. However, with only a few hours left before the 15th and still without an official announcement from Apple, fans could probably scratch of Oct. 15 from the list, leaving 22 as the likely date.
AllThingsD has also reported that sources have confirmed that Apple will be holding an invitation-only event on Oct. 22 to present the latest updates to the company's devices. The keynote will include the release of the MacBook Pro, the new iPads and the OS X Mavericks.
Moreover, Christian Post reports that Apple has already released the latest golden master version OS X Mavericks 10.9 to developers earlier this month, leading to further speculations that the release of the MacBook Pro and other Apple devices this month are imminent.
The report notes that the latest update to the operating system is expected to be the final release before the Mavericks is made available to the public. The golden master build Xcode 5.0.1 was also released by Apple so that developers can already work on apps compatible with the new OS.
Christian Post also reports that the Mavericks will most likely come packed in the new MacBook Pro. The OS will feature several new features, including a new Maps app, iBooks, iCloud Keychain and an improved Safari.
Aside from the MacBook Pro and the OS X Mavericks, Apple is also expected to release the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 on Oct. 22.
