Verizon Wireless Unlimited Plans, Phones & Accounts: Comparing EDGE and Other Options
Verizon plans are often regarded as some of the most expensive wireless plans out of the Big Four carriers. However, thanks to their powerful network, most customers in the U.S. will find adequate coverage from the company.
If you live in a rural area, you probably want to go with Verizon. That's because Verizon wins the coverage contest when compared to AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
If you don't need much data you can get an unlimited plan for as low as $45. This only comes with 1 GB of data.
With data intensive programs like Pandora, Spotify and Netflix most people will go over 1 GB of data pretty quickly. Let's take a look at some of the other plans offered by Verizon for individuals.
For $60 you can double your data to 2 GB while keeping the unlimited minutes and texts.
These two examples assume you sign up for a Verizon EDGE plan. If you do not sign up for EDGE, the plans go up to $60 and $75.
If that still is not enough data for you, you can still get an affordable plan from Verizon.
Let's say you want 4 GB of data. Now you are looking at $75 with EDGE and $90 without it.
If you know you are a data hog, you better choose the data-heavy plan like the 10 GB plan for $95 with EDGE and $120 without EDGE. This used to just offer 6 GB, but now a new promotion is giving customers 10 GB of data.
The same promotion is currently going on for a 15 GB plan. It used to offer just 10 GB of data for $115 with EDGE and $140 without it. Now, you get 15 GB for that price.
These two data-heavy plans seem to be the best deals going on for Verizon. Thanks to heavy competition from the other major three carriers, Verizon could alter these plans at any time, so stay tuned.
