Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs, who have been separated for a year, have finalized their divorce, reports TMZ.

The couple announced their split in December 2013 following 10 years of marriage. Diggs filed a divorce petition in November 2014. According to court documents received by TMZ, the couple finalized their divorce on Dec. 3, 2014.

The pair has had an amicable parting, stating in their initial announcement their 5-year-old son, Walker Nathaniel Diggs, was their primary concern.

The actor and actress-singer-songwriter sold their two-story traditional home in Studio City, California, for $2.55 million -- about 15 percent less than their asking price, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Last June, Diggs talked about the separation in an interview with Redbook. The public reacted to the news of the couple's split with high hopes for reconciliation. "There weren't a lot of couples like us in the theater community," he told Redbook. "It was easy for people to root for us."

Diggs was the first to start dating. He made a public appearance with rumored new girlfriend, model Amanza Smith Brown, last June at the 2014 BET Awards.

Menzel, 43, has starred in the Broadway musicals rent "Rent" and "Wicked." She became a household name with the hit song "Let It Go" featured in Disney's 2013 animated movie "Frozen" in which she was the voice for character Elsa. She was recently blasted by critics for her performance of "Let It Go" on ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest." Menzel botched the high note during the song's climax. She defended her performance on social media by saying it is not possible to get it right all the time -- you simply try your best.

Diggs, 43, is best known for his role on the television show "Private Practice" and the film "How Stella Got Her Groove Back." He has recently appeared as a recurring guest star on "The Good Wife" Season 6 and has been filming the tragicomedy "The Best Man Wedding" as character Harper Stewart.
