GTA 5 iFruit Android Release Date & News Update: Online Petition for Grand Theft Auto V App Aims Google Play Release
After the successful release of Grand Theft Auto 5, gamers are now hoping that the game's companion apps will soon make its way to Android devices.
GTA 5 was released following much anticipation and fanfare from gamers who have been waiting for the next installment to the one of the most successful franchises in the world of gaming. After breaking sales records in the video game industry - achieving a Guinness World Record for fastest entertainment product to gross $1 billion - gamers are now talking about the mobile applications that support the gameplay for GTA: the Manual and iFruit apps.
So far, the Manual app has already been released to both iOS and Android users; however, iFruit has only been made available to Apple devices, making Android users jealous and angry.
According to Rockstar Games, the two apps will be any gamers perfect companion to "enhance and aid" their gaming experience. The Manual mobile app is a 100-page digital manual that features everything there is to learn about the video game. Grand Theft Auto: iFruit, on the other hand, offers two additional features:
- Los Santos Customs - this feature allows gamers to create and customize their own vehicles anytime, anywhere.
- Chop the Dog - a virtual pet, the app allows gamers to take care of Franklin's Rottweiler friend. The better gamers take care of Chop the greater benefits Franklin receives in-game.
With these two interesting new additions to the already-smash hit video game, Android users are hoping that Rockstar Games will work over time in releasing the GTA: iFruit app to them. As a matter of fact, an online petition has already been created to push developers to "provide the application immediately" to non-Apple users. So far, the petition has 552 signatures already. It aims to reach 1,000 signs.
Rockstar Games has yet to comment on the online petition.
