One lucky person in Florida has a lot to look forward to this year after purchasing a winning lottery ticket worth $9 million in Jacksonville.

Florida Lottery officials announced on Sunday that the winning ticket matched six-of-six numbers in Saturday's drawing. Twenty other lucky winners managed to match five-of-six numbers and earned $7,010.50, reports the Associated Press.

In the meantime, 1,222 tickets matched four numbers, earning $87.50, while 25,692 tickets matched three-of-six numbers for $5.50. Another 53,737 players, who matched two-of-six numbers, were able to win free tickets.

The winning Florida Lotto numbers selected on Saturday are 2, 21, 24, 44, 50 and 51.

On Friday, the Florida Lottery announced that 67-year-old Mark Nickel, Sr. of St. Augustine claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize from the drawing held on Dec. 19. Nickel purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket from Publix, located at 1033 A1A Beach Boulevard in St. Augustine Beach. In addition, the store owner  received a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

Last month, a convicted sex offender in Florida beat the odds of 1 in 1.6 million to win the Super Millions scratch-off game's $3 million lottery jackpot. Timothy Dale Poole, 43, who was arrested in 1999, won the prize after buying a $20 ticket from a 7-Eleven store in Mount Dora, Florida. There are no laws preventing convicted criminals from winning the lottery, so Poole was allowed to keep his earnings.

According to records from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Poole pleaded guilty in 2002 to attempted sexual battery involving two minors under the age of 12. He was then released from prison in 2006, reports ABC News. He now works as a cab driver at his family-owned taxi company.

Poole asserted his innocence in an October report by WKMG-TV, a CBS-affiliated station in Orlando.

"It may be hard for some to believe, but sometimes people are wrongly accused," Poole wrote.
