Eminem New Album 2013 Release Date & Songs: Rapper Could Perform New Song as Musical Guest on Saturday Night Live Nov. 2
Just a few days before he begins his reign as "rap god," releasing his forthcoming eighth studio album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" on November 5, Eminem will be making his comeback to Studio 8H, Rockefeller Center for NBC's "Saturday Night Live."
"So excited to announce that @kerrywashington will be hosting the #Nov2 show with musical guest, @Eminem #SNL #CantWait!" the show announced on Wednesday via Twitter.
The Detroit rapper will be introduced to the stage by the night's host, Kerry Washington, who is "Scandal's leading actress. This will make Washington's "SNL" hosting debut.
For Eminem, this is not his first time on the program: it will be his sixth appearance on "Saturday Night Live" as musical guest, including his 1999 debut with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and his most recent appearance with Lil Wayne. This time, he will be promoting the upcoming release of his epic album "MMLP2."
So far, the rapper has previewed three songs from his new album, most recently including the supersonic-rapid "Rap God." The audience should expect to hear his first single "Berzerk," which is peaked at No.1 on Billboard Rap Songs chart, as well as other potential songs off the album, "Rap God" and "Survival." Eminem may also select an unreleased song to perform during his set for "SNL."
Eminem is slated to make his appearance on "Saturday Night Live" on November 2. His forthcoming 16-track album "Marshall Mathers LP 2," which features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna and Nate Ruess, is scheduled to release on November 5.
