Fifty Shades of Grey Actor - Cast News Update: Britney Spears Wants James Franco for Christian Grey
Now that Charlie Hunnam has backed out of the Fifty Shades of Grey male lead role, the search is on for the next Christian Grey again! And for former pop princess Britney Spears, it will be a perfect move if the film producers pick James Franco to play the hot businessman.
Popwatch reports that Spears picked Franco without any hesitation for the erotic movie saying how much she thinks he's cool. "I love James Franco," she added.
According to Just Jared, Britney Spears was in London, England as she reveals her brand new album's title. It was during a radio interview with the KIIS-FM station that she was asked about her opinion over the most talked about film adaptation.
New York Daily News reveals that during the same conversation, the 33-year-old singer also teased how she dreamt about Ryan Gosling the previous night who also did not entertain the idea of taking the Christian Grey role.
The search for the next Christian Grey has been a hot topic all over the Net and the rumored actors who are allegedly catching the eye of its filmmakers are Alexander Skarsgard and Jamie Dornan. There's also Francois Arnauld who is the lead star of "The Borgias."
The Latest Christian Grey Replacement Shortlist
USA Today reports that Jamie Dornan is one of the front runners for the search. He's a former model for Calvin Klein and reportedly dated Keira Knightley in the past.
There is also the 26-year-old British actor Christian Cooke, 28-year-old Francois Arnaud, and of course Alexander Skarsgard who is now gaining the highest momentum in the race for the role. The only thing that may be against him is his age at 37 according to some analysts.
Other names include Billy Magnussen who is to star alongside Johnny Depp for Into the Woods and Aussie actor Luke Bracey who is a star of the hit show Down Under Home and Away.
As for James Franco as Britney Spears' personal bet, he may be too popular already for a role that is eyed by the producers and author to land for an unfamiliar face in the industry.
