Emily Ratajkowski, Blurred Lines Video Model, Poses For Rag & Bone's Latest D.I.Y. Campaign
Her name might not ring a bell but everybody remembers the brunette beauty in the visual for Robin Thicke's summer hit, "Blurred Lines." Emily Ratajkowski, best known for taking her clothes off and showing off her skin, puts on clothes this time for Rag & Bone's latest D.I.Y Project.
Ratajkowski seems like she's having the best time of her life -- after getting famous in the controversial music video, Rag & Bone, a New York-based label co-founded by British designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, welcomes her into the world of fashion. The 22-year-old now becomes the latest face to feature in the ongoing ad campaign.
The D.I.Y. Project previously starred many beautiful women -- from Lily Aldridge, Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel to Erin O'Connor, Karolina Kurkova and Carolyn Murphy -- just to name a few.
The interesting project basically requires the models to shoot an ad campaign for the brand however they wish, given a bag of Rag & Bone clothes and a camera: it's pretty much like taking selfies of themselves.
"As a model and actress, Emily takes on roles and is given direction, but the beauty of the DIY Project is that the girl has free reign to do whatever she wants," says Marc Wainwright. "So it was an opportunity for her to show how she sees herself."
Ratajkowski's D.I.Y. shots show a more relaxed side, which are taken by her friends. The concept is inspired by her recent move to New York City.
"It's an exciting and crazy transition time," the model says. "And I wanted to capture that by shooting basically in my empty apartment and around the city -- it's a fresh start."
Emily Ratajkowski is currently working on another project. She has her sights set on an acting career; she'll start filming her debut movie role in David Fincher's big screen adaptation of the best-selling novel, "Gone Girl." She'll appropriately play beautiful college student Andie, who becomes the mistress of lead character Nick Dunne, played by Ben Affleck.
