iOS 7 Jailbreak News and Download Rumors: How Soon WIll a Jailbreak Be Released? [POLL]
The elusive iOS 7 jailbreak is apparently still in the works after it was reported that the Evad3rs group of hackers were abroad for an iOS hacking training session.
The jailbreak was reported to have been available last week but it was suspected to be false, mostly because it wasn't the Evad3rs and for the fact that it was $24.99 when jailbreaks have been free in the past.
At this point, we have to start asking the question of when will this be available. The Evad3rs suggested earlier in the fall that they were close to cracking the code, but now they'll have to get back to the drawing board after the trip.
@Pod2g and @pinskeks, who are working on the jailbreak, tweeted to provide an update and to tell everyone to maintain patience. Pod2g wrote: "The road is long though. Assembling all the pieces may take a while... Don't expect a jailbreak next week people ;)"
He then elaborated on why a release date for the jailbreak still has not been announced.
"Again, and like usual, we can't give a release date for the iOS 7 jailbreak. We can run into different troubles... No idea."
Teammate Nikias Bassen echoed what he said and added that they are being extra careful.
"Also even if we manage to make everything work the time for a release must be chosen carefully," Bassen said.
The hackers have been having a more difficult time with jailbreaks ever since the iOS 6. The newer phones, just released in September, are not capable of being jailbroken yet.
