Hot New 'Tha Carter V' Album Release Date: Will Migos Song 'Fantastic' Appear on YMCMB Rapper's 'Sorry 4 the Wait 2' Mixtape? [Video]
Migos teased their upcoming collaboration with Lil Wayne, titled "Fantastic," on Thursday.
The Atlanta rap trio and the New Orleans emcee hit the studio together last week after partying at LIV Nightclub in Miami on Dec. 28, according to their Instagram accounts:
Ever since then, reports have surfaced online claiming that Quavo, Offset and Takeoff may be featured on Weezy's highly anticipated album "Tha Carter V."
It now seems, however, that the recent project will be included in "Y.R.N. 2," which is the forthcoming follow-up to the "Versace" rappers' 2013 mixtape "Young Rich N---as," as they took to their Instagram account to post a brief preview clip of "Fantastic" with the hashtag "#YRN."
"Fantastic" -- @migosatl x @liltunechi_c5 coming soon | Shot By: @lilcoachtmbtc #YRN #UNRELEASEDSONG #QC," they wrote in the caption for the footage seemingly taken during their recording sessions.
In addition, Migos also shared another track titled "Championship," as well as Lil Durk's "Lil N---az":
Meanwhile, Lil Tunechi recently teased his freestyle over iLoveMakonnen's popular Drake remix "Tuesday," presumably off his upcoming "Sorry 4 the Wait 2" mixtape (the mixtape's predecessor was previously offered to fans as an apology for keeping them waiting for "Tha Carter IV" album to be released).
In the teaser clip, Lil Wayne is seen smoking his blunt and showing off a Thrasher magazine at an indoor skateboarding park. In the song, Weezy delivers an auto-tuned version of "Alphabet B---hes," his remake of early Cash Money label PxMxWx's 1993 track, as "Tuesday" serves as a soundtrack.
The "Grindin" rapper might drop the sequel to his 2011 mixtape before releasing his much delayed "Tha Carter V" as his longtime friend Fee Banks and YMCMB President Mack Maine took to their Instagram accounts last month to hint that it is on its way, referencing the title in the captions.
