Miranda Kerr Won't Be Modeling In the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Miranda Kerr won't reportedly be walking in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in December. Since last month, rumors have been circling around stating that the famous angel was dropped from the upcoming fashion show for being "difficult". The Australian supermodel however confirmed the rumor saying that she won't make this year's catwalk but for a slightly different reason.
The Australian beauty has been working for the lingerie brand since 2007, and Kerr has been strutting down the runway ever since - except in 2010, when she was pregnant with her now 2-year-old son, Flynn.
Miranda Kerr, sporting a simple sheer black blouse tucked into classic skinny jeans and knee-high black leather boots, looked radiant and gorgeous as always. She said there were no hard feelings, just a scheduling conflict with balancing between her being a mother and entrepreneur.
"They asked me to walk in the show, and I really wanted to, but I have to be in Asia that week," the Australian supermodel said at a launch party. "It's interesting to know that it will be the first year that I'm not there!" She then elaborated that it wasn't an easy decision to make, "They are my family and we're all very close."
"When I spoke to Ed [Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Victoria's Secret], he was like, 'I'm really upset that you can't be here!' but I've got another contract and commitment at the same time," she added. "I can't be in two places at the same time, you know?"
It's going to be a busy year for Miranda Kerr with her own beauty line, "Kora Organics," which is quickly expanding throughout the U.S. and Australia.
"We're in over 400 stores in Australia, we launched on Net-a-Porter, and we just launched our website," Kerr said. "So we've got a new fulfillment center in Los Angeles and Australia, which is so much more efficient for our customers and for the environment."
"It's incredible. It's my baby, I really put my heart and soul into it," said Miranda Kerr.
